ST. LOUIS, MO – United 4 Children (U4C) is thrilled to announce the appointment of AJ Foster and Chris Rowland to it’s Board of Directors. The U4C Board acts as the highest leadership body of the organization and is responsible for strategical and organizational planning, ensuring strong fiduciary oversight and financial management, fundraising and resource development, enhancing the organization’s public image, and more.

Born and raised in Saint Louis, AJ earned her B.A. in Black Studies from Mizzou, where she double minored in Psychology and Criminal/Juvenile Justice. AJ utilizes her inclusive mindset strategies to support the impactful work of others. Currently working as a Technical Project Associate for Digital Promise Global, she supports the product certification of edtech products globally while focusing heavily on the user’s experience. As a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and 2021 MU NAACP Dr. Medgar Evers Political Award Recipient, AJ serves her community fiercely.
Chris serves as the CFO for Healthy Blue Missouri, where he plays a key role in providing healthcare to the state’s most vulnerable populations. With over 25 years of experience in finance and accounting, he provides strategic leadership and is committed to driving innovation and enhancing financial efficiency. A proud native of St. Louis and Mizzou alumnus, Chris resides in Dardenne Prairie with his wife and two daughters.
If you’d like to join AJ, Chris, and U4C’s other compassionate and skilled board members, U4C is actively recruiting with special consideration being paid to candidates with accounting, early childhood education, and policy/advocacy experience. U4C’s Board members serve three-year terms and may be elected to serve an additional successive three-year term. Board members serve as active advocates and ambassadors for the organization, identify and help secure financial resources and partnerships necessary for the organization to advance its mission, and get to know the organization’s mission, programs, and needs deeply.
