How Does Virtual Trivia Work?
Virtual Trivia will be held via Zoom. You do not need a Zoom account to play. Each participant will receive the Zoom link upon registering.
Each virtual team can have up to eight people. Each team member can play from their own home. If your team feels comfortable gathering in person, your entire team may participate from one location.
You may check in for Virtual Trivia starting at 6 p.m. Please change your name on Zoom to be your team name. After checking in, you’ll be assigned a breakout room for your team. If you do not know how to change your name in zoom, use the chat feature to ask Trivia Riot to assign you to the proper breakout room.
All team members must be on Zoom by 6:25 p.m. United 4 Children recommends joining early to give time to troubleshoot any technical issues that occur. If all goes smoothly, you’ll have time to catch up with your team members! Once you’re on Zoom, you can use the chat feature to ask Trivia Riot any questions.
There will be six rounds of trivia. Everyone in attendance will be shown the questions for the round. Then, Trivia Riot will place you and your teammates into your breakout room to compile your answers.
Trivia Riot will provide a Google Form for each team on the night of the event. Each team captain will submit a Google Form with their team’s answers for each round.
All teams will return to the main Zoom room at the end of each round to hear answers for the previous round and to receive the next round’s questions.
