As of January 2021, Microsoft Teams doesn’t have a test link for guests. However, users can click on any meeting link, including future meetings, to test the process on their computer.

Do I need a Teams account to participate in a virtual training session?
A Microsoft Teams account is not needed to participate.

Here is how to join a meeting without an account using a computer.

Do I have to have a webcam or video to join an online training session?
It is helpful but not required.  We do ask if you have video access to keep it on during the training session.  This helps us gauge interactions and connect in ways like that of a face-to-face session.

How do I download the Teams app
Anyone can use the free version of Microsoft Teams. Guests can join a Microsoft Teams meeting on the mobile app without an account by following these steps:

  1. Tap Join the meeting now in the meeting invite.
  2. That’ll open a web page, where you’ll see two choices: Continue on this browser and Join on the Teams app. (You don’t need to install the Teams app to join the meeting.)
  3. Download the Teams app from the app store.
  4. Open the app.
