Program Membership: Frequently Asked Questions

Can a program be in more than one investment area?

Yes, a program is able to move into other investment areas when progress is shown in the investment area they are currently in. Also, all programs will be enrolled in the base business investment area.

Is there a cost to services?

All available supports are free. U4C offers an annual Building the Preschool to Promise Pipeline conference at a discount to members.

Do providers get funds for their program?

Possibly. At times U4C receives specific funds to support program and provide goals. When these opportunities become available, this will be communicated to eligible programs.

Who is eligible for services?

U4C offers Business Investment support to every childcare provider in the St. Louis area. Until additional funding is received, the Investment areas are only available in the St. Louis region, and priority is given to the following zip codes: 63120, 63106, 63133, 63107, 63113, 63140, 63147, 63115, 63136, 63137, 63134, 63121, 63111, and 63118. Does my program have to be licensed to qualify?

U4C offers Business Investment support to every childcare provider in MO  regardless of licensing type. Additional services are available to all program types, but investment area selection is dependent upon provider type. For example, an unlicensed child care home would not be eligible for the Accreditation Investment Area but could take advantage of

the Quality or Licensure Investment Area.
