U4C uses a third-party company, Z2 Systems to process event registrations and donations. All data is encrypted during transmission using SSL (HTTPS), using some of the strongest encryption available. Sensitive data is encrypted following industry best practices, using either one-way or two-way hashing. Their infrastructure is constantly reviewed, both hardware and software, to ensure they are protected against vulnerabilities. While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing, donation processing, etc.) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
